About Calder Street Financial
When funding goes wrong it usually happens at the worst time, and most owners are handed a pitch when what they needed was an explanation. This site exists to be the explanation.
We're writing for the owner who got declined yesterday, who dreads tomorrow's draft, who carries three positions with no single sheet listing them, or who just wants it over. Every situation follows one layout: what it means, the first thing to do, and each option with its honest cost.
When a request we place funds, the funding partners in our network pay us, and we say that openly. We get paid when a partner in our network funds you, not when we send you to a bank, your existing funder, an attorney or a counselor, and we send people there often because it so often turns out to be the right answer.
Every guide is checked against current funder agreements and public sources, shows both a published and an updated date, and never presents a figure as an offer. Spot something that's out of date? Let us know and we'll correct it.
How we are paid
When a request we place funds, the funding partner compensates Calder Street Financial. Reading, asking, getting options or being told no never costs you a fee from us. We get paid when a partner in our network funds you, not when we send you to a bank, your existing funder, an attorney or a nonprofit counselor, and we send you there whenever that is the honest answer.
Our network
Calder Street Financial relies on an exclusive network made up of funding partners and marketing partners. We may pass your information to those partners once you submit a request, so they can evaluate and present funding options. Selling your information for unrelated purposes is something we do not do.
How the guides are written
Before any product comes up, each situation page opens with your first steps. Before any guide goes live, we check it against current funder agreements and public sources and put it through a compliance review, so no advance is ever called a loan, no figure appears as an offer, each factor rate is shown with its APR-equivalent, and nothing promises approval. Each guide shows when it was published and when it was last updated, and it gets revised whenever products or the law change. If you find something out of date, tell us at hello@calderstreetfinancial.com.
